Owen and I are excited to be taking part in our first Shit Box rally this December. Thought we would start with the one-day Cancer Cruise to test the health of both the car and the drivers!
I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma 5 years ago. I had my third stem cell transplant in July. I know that I am now kept alive with drugs developed by dedicated scientists and doctors. The Cancer Council helps to fund this life-saving research. I can think of a better reason to raise money by doing this Cancer Cruise.

Cancer Cruise is a new initiative from Box Rallies who are behind Shitbox Rally and Mystery Box Rally. Box Rallies has raised over $39 million dollars in the past 13 years, for cancer research, which makes Box Rallies and those that participate in our projects the largest community-based fundraisers for Cancer Council nationally.
Cancer Cruise is a family day out for participants in their Shitbox, Mystery Box or other favourite vehicles.
The cruise is not a race – it’s a fun, easy going drive to lunch, where teams will be able to socialise with each other, talk about the rallies and why they are fundraising for cancer research, many brought together after experiencing cancer themselves or seeing cancer impact family and friends.
Cancer Cruise is a dedicated fundraising event for cancer research with funds going to Cancer Council.
Cancer Council is one of the largest non-government funders of cancer research in Australia. We conduct and fund research studies across all cancers and all stages of the cancer journey.
Thanks to the community funds raised such as Cancer Cruise we can fund world-class research that reduces the impact of cancer for everyone.
$46 million over the past 15 years has been raised by Box Rallies to date, supporting ground-breaking projects such as:
